The Waimea Plains provide fertile farmland with land use varying from sheep for meat and wool, deer for velvet, cattle for beef and dairy, grains for stock food and human consumption. Not just specialising in restoring vintage planes, here at the Mandeville Airfield you can have the thrill of open cockpit flying in a Tiger Moth, or one of the other vintage planes available for hire

Experience the thrill of Four Wheel Driving while being amazed by the different farmlands and bush scenery that you will encounter. (These trips are subject to weather. Lunch included on the full day.)
Farm Tour and Demonstration	$10	Half or full day
Have a tour of different local farms and watch the dog trail demonstrations. If the time is right you may even get to feed a lamb or milk a cow!

Gore

Established as a rural service community Gore's history is colourful. And perhaps no era more so than the Hokonui Moonshine was much sought after (and not just by the law.) However Gore is now known more for its great fishing and being New Zealand's home of country music. So come to the 'World Capital of Brown Trout Fishing' and see what it has to offer! Just a short 20 minute drive from The Hub.
